Ricardo de la Serna

Ricardo is a Partner at Alvarium. He is a director of the Miami-based subsidiary of Alvarium, acquired in 2014 from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm.

Ricardo is a relationship manager for ultra-high net worth clients. He has played a senior role in the portfolio analysis division and is a member of the Investment Committee. He also led the efforts to open and expand Guggenheim’s Hong Kong office, which now also forms part of the Alvarium group. Ricardo has more than 25 years of experience in consulting, trading and asset management. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2001, he worked as Vice President at Banco Santander International (1997-2001), where he was responsible for the trading, execution and recommendation of fixed-income securities including US high grade and emerging market instruments. He also worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for four years (1991-1995), where he was involved as a senior consultant in a number of projects regarding some of the largest Spanish conglomerates. Ricardo participated in the Erasmus Programme and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from The Universities of Humberside and Madrid. He also holds an MBA with concentration in Finance from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
